Quirky Cat
Summary:
Twilight is a master spy. By their nature, spies cannot be famous. But Twilight is as close as they come to being famous for his career. His latest assignment requires him to have the perfect family. While he's found the family, he's working on the perfect part…
Plans are heading forward accordingly; only yet another potential disaster is in the air. If Twilight and his allies don’t find a way to stop the spread of certain information, they can kiss all of their covers goodbye.
Review:
Eeee! Sorry, but I’ve been waiting months (MONTHS) for Spy x Family Vol. 12, and it’s finally here! I’m so excited, to put it mildly. The cover had me hoping that we’d maybe be getting more backstory about Twilight’s handler, but even if we didn’t, I knew I’d enjoy the story.
Whew. This volume is a lot to process. Not in a Loid’s-heavy-backstory way, but still. Every volume brings together our main character’s different plots closer together. It’s a bit foreboding, to be honest, because it will certainly result in a few clashes. Again, putting it mildly.
This volume leans heavily into the whole spy-drama bit, with Loid and Operation Strix in more danger than ever. It’s all hands on deck for Loid and his allies, with the stacks higher than ever.
Honestly, the end of Spy x Family Vol. 12 killed me. Not because it’s sad - but because it’s such a mean cliffhanger! So consider yourself warned.
