Don’t be the one to make her fall if you have no intention of catching her.

Truthfully, I struggled with this book at first. I started with the audiobook but found it difficult to follow, especially with the character switches from chapter to chapter. Around 46% in, I decided to read a few chapters on my Kindle and I was immediately hooked. The story became much easier to follow.

I enjoyed the slow-pace and absolutely loved the world-building. Every bit of information that was laid out at the beginning is important to the story and couldn’t be missed! There's enough detail to fully immerse you into this world. The characters are as likable as they are complex, with layers that unfold throughout the story. The writing was so well done that I never questioned their motives, I'm impressed. And that slow-burn, enemies to lovers romance? Perfection. The build-up and the tension was incredible. I can’t wait to dive into the second book!
