3.5/5 stars. It was an interesting story. I liked the idea behind its more or less unique premise but I feel like there were some issues in its execution.
This is the perfect blend of drama mixed with sci fi. You have just enough of each to really draw you into the story. I totally fell for Leo and Elliott relationship. Leo is a driven character and i would of actually love to see more of how life changed once her invention was actually realized and put into use. The tug and pull between family members is intriguing, the mystery behind the mothers death and all the political angels that abound in this novel. This is a stand alone so their no more story to tell and the author does a great job tying up all the loose ends. Can i also day that cover wow and you get the tie in within the story as well. I not always sure why covers are chosen but i do know why this one was. Though i did think the color of the rose should of been the color of Leo dress at the ball just saying. Pick this one up if you like the Bachelorette, drama with a dash of sci fi you won’t be disappointed.
- Quick read. - Really fun and enjoyable. Definitely felt like The Bachelorette in space or something. - Interesting plot. - Great mix of characters. - Ace rep — I loved it. - My only complaint is that the end was a little rushed for me in some places. There were a few plot points that I would have liked to see wrapped up differently, or at least had more time closing them up. There were a few things that felt significant but in the end, I don't even really know what happened to them.
