Initial thoughts: Magic, Jewish folklore and historical accounts wove together a tapestry of three sisters’ lives as they grapple with religion, love and family loyalties. Such a dark yet romantic and enchanting book. Unfortunately, I did find some parts rather draggy. The setting more than the characters and setting kept me engaged throughout.
