Will Josie help Sam figure out if his wife had anything to do with the murder?
Josie Way
Josie Way is our witch librarian who is still figuring out her magic. She is a funny sleuth and she deals with finding a way to solve the murders quite well. Josie is trying to help in two different ways. The first way is through the usual means while attempting to keep away from Sam, and the second way is through her magical ways. Her book magic is fantastic and would be pretty cool magic to have. Josie is a great character who knows her flaws, especially around Sam, but she works through them. Her love for her new town is awesome and how all the residents have taken her under their wings is perfect.
The Mystery
Well, this mystery is quite a doozy. Josie, Sam, and some other Wilfredians are looking for Fiona at the old mill site when they stumble across a tire iron. Now it's time to look for a dead body to see what happened, and instead of Fiona, they find the architect's dead body instead. Well, then it's still a search for Fiona to see if she had anything to do with the murder of the architect. Let's just say that a lot happens from that point, and I was laughing at some funny parts during the mystery. Fiona is a required taste for a character, and she has multifaceted aspects of her personality that she shares with certain people.
Josie, Sam, and Sheriff Beattie are all trying to solve the mystery. Well, Sam and Josie, without the Sheriff knowing about it. I am happy to say that I did figure out who killed the architect before Josie did.
Five Stars
Seven-Year Witch by Angela M. Sanders is a cute cozy mystery to read with a nice cup of hot tea and a blanket over the legs (well, in Montana, that is). I enjoyed reading this novel immensely, and I can't wait to learn more about Josie and the other Wilfred citizens. How Ms. Sanders has established her magic system in her series is incredible. I wouldn't mind being able to do what Josie does with her books. Only time will tell if Josie and Sam will eventually get together. I hope that they do as they seem cute together. Wilfred, Oregon, is an appealing little community since it's not a town anymore, but it still has its residents there. I just hope that this retreat center helps them out.
I am giving Seven-Year Witch by Angela M. Sanders five stars and I'm recommending this excellent series to anyone that loves a tremendous Cozy Paranormal Mystery. Ms. Sanders is a great author and I can't wait to see what else happens in this small community or if Ms. Josie Way ends up leaving town for a bit or something and ends up solving a mystery away from her small forest community.
I'm off to read my next book, which doesn't have anything to do with cozy mysteries for a while.
