I was very much looking forward to Sweethand, because how can you not love childhood enemies to lovers?! Cherisse and Keiran did not get along at all as teens, but now as adults, not much has changed. Cherisse and Keiran are reunited when her sister and his best friend start planning their wedding and declare those two as maid of honor and best man. Now they're forced to work together to carry out their bridal party duties. It's a rough start when Keiran accidentally starts an online feud by disparaging her job as a pastry chef, but soon things start heating up, and I don't just mean the oven.
Unfortunately, while I did overall enjoy Sweethand, I wasn't fully into the relationship between Cherisse and Keiran. I didn't get why they held this animosity toward each other. They don't get along, which is fine, but I want a bigger reason than "he was annoying" and "she seemed stuck-up." The majority of teenagers are like that! I could get behind it if their issues started with Keiran's off joke about her baking, because that was the most real moment of the story for me. I did like how they started developing feelings for each other though, and Keiran's "secret" from Cherisse felt believable.
