The four books kept my glued to the pages during this week, and I'm also curious to the next two series from other POV.
Was the story flawless, no it wasn't. At times the mentioning of certain facts about what was happening, the looks of certain characters and so on where (very) repetitive. By now we now how good Eli, West, Nic and other fae look ;) But seeing as the story itself was so much fun, adventurous and tensive, I can overcome that detail.
I loved Ember. Some people may find her (very) annoying, but I loved her. In a span of a few months she goes from troubled student to warrior. You can't expect people to change their character overnight. So she makes mistakes, is impulsive and sometimes childish. She is HUMAN! Okay, actually she is not, but she was raised as one.
Her family, wow. I loved all of them. Except the seelie queen. But hey, she was the biggest b*tch! Like Samantha. Both not the most diverse characters, but just the evil villains they were supposed to be.
And Eli, sigh. I don't want to give spoilers so I will leave it at that! But I can say that I had to hold my breath the last few pages!
I read the ebooks, but I had to have the paperbacks as well. This series belongs on my shelf.
