I liked this book better than the first one but not enough. The writing was a bit better and there was actually a plot but I found it didn’t really go with the first one. The plot is completely ridiculous. Two teenagers are undercover for the police? I don’t think that’s how it works. There isn’t as much focus on the dreams anymore in this one. It’s all about finding out which teacher is the rapist. This might ruin the book for you but it’s basically all of them. It’s so stupid. Not only is there one rapist but three. Like that actually happens. Plus you suspect every single one of them from the start so it’s not even a surprise.

Then there’s the characters. Oh dear. They need to seriously chill. They whine too much about putting each other in danger it’s ridiculous. They even break up because of it. Relationships do not work like that. I love you but you trouble seems to always find you so I’m breaking up with you but wait! Just kidding! I love you too much so let’s get together again. Yea. Right. Good try.

I love the slow build-up in this one. I love how bad-ass Janie is both with her martial arts and her training - and she's really smart as well. I love how she took care of the bad-guys, even after she got drugged.

I didn't love how Cabe couldn't handle things after the bust - I felt so sorry for Janie, the way she had no idea how or why it happened that he needed a break. But she's strong. And I love how she is able to pick herself off the floor, even when there's noone else around - except for maybe the captain.
