If you remember Bliss from Losing It, then you won’t be surprised that she is completely nervous about meeting Garrick’s parents and her nervousness isn’t lost on Garrick, but he can’t do much about it outside of constantly reassuring her that everything will be fine because he’s just as nervous as she is. His Mom is not an easy person to get to know and his father isn’t someone that he’s proud to be related to. While Bliss is worried that his parents are going to hate her, Garrick is worried that Bliss is going to hate them. And he can’t even blame her.

I loved getting a small glimpse into Garrick and Bliss’ life after their story came to an end. I loved getting to see where Garrick grew up, meeting his friends and even meeting his parents. It was nice to see Bliss interacting with these other people in Garrick’s life and seeing them grow together as a couple. It’s always nice to see characters that I’ve come to love again after I’ve finished their book and I thought Carmack did a great job with this novella. It was just what I needed to get me in the mood for reading Finding It and I’m completely anxious to dig right back into another book by Carmack.

This was great novella that was cute, entertaining and just all over great. I definitely recommend.

It’s no secret that I adore Cora Carmack and her Losing It series. I was delighted to pick up Keeping Her a novella featuring more of Bliss and Garrick. I adore Garrick and his smexy accent. *swoons* He is wonderful and every woman’s dream guy. They travel to London to meet Garrick’s parents which presented us with a delightful tale and offered us a chance to spend more time with characters. It was nice seeing them face challenges, love each other and lift each other up. We get some humor, some hot scenes and lots and lots of Garrick *swoons* Fans of Losing It will enjoy getting their fix while we wait for Finding It due out in October 2013.

I always love when we get to catch up with characters after their HEA. In Keeping Her, we find Garrick taking Bliss home to London to meet his family. She's terrified she won't measure up and he's terrified his parents will be who they are and destroy everything.

Garrick and Bliss haven't done anything the easy way with their relationship, but tis little trip home to meet his parents and the potential hiccup that arises proves how much they love each other and if they can make it through this trip they can make it through anything.

A fun, quick read for anyone her loved Garrick and Bliss' story in LOSING IT.

Before I start this review, can I just admit something right off the bat? I can? Good. I LOVE Cora Carmack. I think she is quite easily the best new author to have come out of the whole New Adult genre. Her books are awesome, her characters are out of this world amazing (seriously, I want to be ALL of them, but mostly I want to be Max), and I’ve loved everything she’s released so far. Losing It, Faking It, and now Keeping Her, a novella which catches us up with Bliss and Garrick (YAY!) and let me tell you, it is so good to be back with Bliss and Garrick!

Like I said, Keeping Her is a novella, catching up with Bliss and Garrick almost a year after Losing It, and it sees them travelling to London to meet Garrick’s parents, something Bliss is ridiculously nervous about because, y’know, she doesn’t feel like she’s good enough for him (there is no one better for Garrick than Bliss, BELIEVE ME) and the trip gets off to an auspicious start when Bliss accidentally breaks a vase, but one simple question from Garrick’s mother sends Bliss into a tailspin, she begins to wonder if she and Garrick are as ready for marriage and all of the commitment as she thought…

I really enjoyed Keeping Her, it was a quick and easy read, that took me just under an hour to complete. It was so good to be back with Bliss and Garrick again – so good, that I do wish it had been a little bit longer, if I’m being totally honest. I liked seeing London through Bliss’s eyes and learning a little bit more of what Garrick had been like before Texas, before Bliss, before America and it was a really sweet read. I do wonder if we might get a full-length book about Bliss and Garrick again, I think if Carmack really wanted to do that, it would be totally ace and the fans would devour it, because it seems like with Bliss and Garrick there are always so many wonderful stories to explore and I for one would love a book about their wedding. Keeping Her was just wonderful, and I can’t wait for Carmack’s next book Finding It, which is Kelsey’s book (Bliss’s best friend!).
