Ruby is returning to Wynbridge after deciding not to continue with her masters degree. Ruby lines up a job helping the Cherry Tree Cafe girls with a stall on the famous Wynbridge market. What Ruby can't work out is why her father is so against her taking this job. Robert Smith has been a supporter of the town and its traditions for as long as she's been alive, so why is he so against her joining the local traders.?
I loved Ruby's character. She is fun, bright and quite the go-getter. Ruby is full of ideas to help the town and the struggling market. Ruby is apprehensive to see her ex, Steve. Ruby and Steve broke up just before she left for university and while she doesn't blame Steve the flame in her heart is still lit.
This book is full of laughter, warm moments and love. There's also a few teary scenes which might have you grabbing the odd tissue or two. I loved being back in Wynbridge and read the other resident's stories.
