I liked it. It was free, so I didn't care that it's so short. And it gave some extra insight and information about the series and characters, which makes me more excited for the next book.

This is a short novella that takes place before The Testing and focuses on Cia's brother Zeen. I'm not sure how much this will play into the actual novel, however I really appreciate the background it gives for the world and the little hints of what's to come in the first book.
It's certainly done it's job when it comes to whetting my appetite and now I can't wait to read The Testing.
