I liked this one a lot better than the first book in the series. I thought the romance between Rick and Jessica was great, I loved how they came together slowly and not quickly. They were great characters and I adored both Joe and Marie. Great story, great characters. Full review to come.

Both Jess and Rick were strong characters, with the odds stacked against them, thus making Controlled Burn both beautiful and a little melancholy.
