Mini-review: 4.5 ★ Audiobook⎮I absolutely did not mean to finish this so quickly! As a result, I'll probably be doing a joint review of installments two and three after finishing the next one.

This has the potential to become one of my favorite paranormal series. Red Glove was *nearly* as good as White Cat, which makes me even more anxious to continue on with Black Heart. I'm still so glad I discovered this series! I'm in love with Holly Black's writing.

Narration review: The more I listen to Jesse Eisenberg, the more I love him as a narrator. He has a really versatile voice, making him able to sound young enough to pass as a high schooler, but mature enough to lend credibility to the high stakes storyline. I 100% recommend listening to this series on audiobook. ♣︎

Definitely liked the second installment more than the previous. Cassel's life is starting to get messy. And the messier it gets, the more fascinating it gets. I like that Cassel is both good and not good, and that he is brilliant at the con -- for the most part. I like that Cassel actually has friends now, as I think this shows how his character is changing.

As with the previous book, I do love how seamlessly curse work has been woven into mob culture. I think this is one aspect about this series that I really, truly enjoy. Will definitely pick up the next in the series, but not the audiobook this time.

I absolutely loved this book! I can't wait to read Black Heart, which is the final book in the trilogy, because I know that it's going to be amazing!

There were some excellent twists in this book, that I didn't see coming this time around. Cassel and his friends were as awesome as ever. I wasn't a huge fan of Cassel's mother, in fact I despised her. She is a horrible woman. However, I did like her involvement in the story and I hope to see more of that in Black Heart.

This book was an excellent middle book in the trilogy that didn't feel as though it was just a bridge from the first to the third book.

I really love this trilogy and I recommend it to everyone.

I am really annoyed by the cover changes though. Especially as I went out of my way to order my copy of White Cat from the US, just to avoid having an ugly cover!
