The Double Life of Incorporate Things was sadly mostly boring to me. It felt like Natalie, Jonathan, and Evelyn spent a lot of time talking about taking down the society. Then a lot of time making their plans, then even more time travelling before they could even do anything. Then there's Natalie's constant "I want to be with you! Don't leave me!" with Jonathan. She knows he has to go back to England to handle his estate which will be dangerous if they realize he's no longer possessed. She also knows that she's perfectly capable of just going with him! Since when does Natalie needs anyone's permission to do anything?
The last few chapters of The Double Life of Incorporate Things were great. The characters finally get down to business, and the Society throws some curve balls their way. It was quite exciting and emotional. I just wish the rest of the book had been as engaging. I did like how not everything was perfectly tied up in a bow. Natalie may have stopped the immediate threat, but she and her group can't be rid of all of the evil that easily. However, peace has been restored to New York City once again.
