Studies have shown that people who understand the concepts of health and physical fitness are more likely to exercise regularly. That means that learning the facts at an early age can help students develop habits that may keep them healthy for a lifetime. Yet no well-developed, standardized test of fitness knowledge has been available--until now!
FitSmart is the first test to accurately measure students' knowledge of basic fitness concepts at the high school level. The FitSmart package, complete with software and manual, is based on the National Youth Physical Fitness Knowledge Test (PFKT), which is designed to help teachers determine their students' learning of physical fitness concepts.
The student can take an online test or the instructor can print a test and enter the scores so the computer can grade the test item using a weighted system. FitSmart has a friendly menu-driven interface with many features to allow the instructor to locate and enter information quickly and easily.
