Talking Dirty with the CEO was great! It's a geek romance with lots of dirty talking, learning to stand up to your parents, and dealing with mental health! Joseph and Christie meet in a gaming chat room, and because her latest assignment is to write about online dating, she asks "Studman500" to meet. Using common sense, her friend accompanies her to meet this stranger. Christie is shocked that Studman is a hottie rather than a typical nerd, they have a quickie at his place, she runs off, only to have her next assignment to be an interview with the CEO of Ashton Tech, i.e. Joseph aka Studman.

I love geeks falling in love! Talking Dirty with the CEO doesn't just have naughty bedroom language. Christie and Joseph are frequently geeking out together over some kind of tech! They are so freaking cute! Although I was a little bummed that there were no tech puns used in the bedroom. While Joseph doesn't seem like the typical geek, Christie totally is. She's a gamer, loves Star Trek, and has trouble speaking up for herself. Especially to her overcritical mother, which is something she overcomes and I wanted to applause!

As for Joseph's issue to overcome, it's not so easy. And he doesn't overcome it. He's struggled with ADHD since he was a kid. He doesn't like how the medication makes him feel, so he tries to cope in other ways. His phone is set to remind me of everything so he can stay on track. Assuming he even remembers to check his phone when it goes off. Because of this Joseph doesn't do relationships. He knows he's not reliable, easily distracted, and forgetful. He's trying, but he's never going to be that person. And I loved that Christie didn't try to "fix" him, and that she was honest in saying that she didn't know how she'll feel if he forgets about her or gets bored with her later. She just wants to be with him! Aw!

I really enjoyed Talking Dirty with the CEO. It was sweet and sexy, and the geekery warmed my heart.

A happenstance encounter in an online gaming chat room begins the wild relationship between Christie St. John and Joseph Ashton in Talking Dirty with the CEO by Jackie Ashden. Expecting to go out and have a good time, neither expects to start the torrid affair that follows.

I liked both characters, and Christie and Joseph embody the idea that opposites attract. Christie, a shy heiress more comfortable sitting on the couch playing video games as she listens to goth music while Joseph is a confident CEO of his technology firm is an avid outdoorsman. The book provides an interesting story on how the two very different personalities merge to find common interests. The one issue with the book is that Joseph’s biggest insecurity, what he considers to be his biggest flaw, is not really a flaw and he has spent his whole life holding back from relationships because of it. That issue aside, it was a creative storyline and fun to see such opposite personalities interact.
