I just loved the book from start to finish. Cat has such a strong, awesome voice; the kind of heroine you remember for ages afterwards because she makes such an impression. The way she looks after her daughter, the fact she loves swearing and country music, and isn't afraid to be honest, just makes you love her all the more. And her daughter is freaking adorable. I also thought the plot was ace - following the rules of a book about dating (a teensy bit similar to the fabulous Vintage Guide to Love and Romance by Kirsty Greenwood) and you just know it's going to cause chaos.
This was the kind of book where you forget your real life and just dive eagerly into someone else's. I loved the Glasgow setting (hooray for books set further up north!), I fell hopelessly in love with Dylan; PHWOAR, am I right?!?!?! And I just enjoyed getting to know Cat. I love a spunky main character, more women should be like Cat. It makes for fabulously entertaining reading, I'm telling you.
