I was a little apprehensive about picking up A Beautiful Wedding especially at it’s original eBook price. When I saw a Facebook feed from McGuire saying they had lowered it to around $3.00 I snagged a copy…I mean it’s Travis we are talking about here. The novella is a decent size coming in at around 160 pages and gives us a dual perspectives.

The story begins in the morning after the fire and explains how Abby ended up being Mrs. Maddox. I was worried there might be a lot of rehashing and nothing fresh or new. I shouldn’t have been worried at all! McGuire brought fresh. There were touching and swoon-worthy moments. She filled in pieces of their story giving it more depth. A Beautiful Wedding revealed Abby’s strength all while showing her fears and love for Travis. Travis is such a romantic. He loves with everything he has. *swoons* A few moments regarding his mother made me tear up. Fans will have plenty of opportunity to melt. McGuire succeeded in making me fall for him all over again.

A Beautiful Wedding was heartfelt, romantic and swoon-worthy. Fans of the Beautiful series will not be disappointed

I ADORED this book! A Beautiful Wedding made me all happy, smiley, giddy, and a little bit teary. Maybe it's partly because I'm just so in the "wedding mood" and this book got me all excited lol!

To be honest, I didn't love the reason Abby proposed to Travis. It just felt so.. unromantic, and like the wrong reason to get married. It's not a huge spoiler since it's revealed in the first part of the book, but I'll put it in spoiler tags anyway. Basically Abby proposed to Travis because she thought that if they disappeared right after the fire, then the police wouldn't suspect that Travis was actually involved... because who would jet off to Las Vegas just hours after a huge tragedy? (Flawed logic there.. a guilty person totally would.) So in short, she proposed to "get him out of town" and with a valid excuse. I mean, I know that Abby and Travis actually do love each other and would have gotten married eventually, but that just seems like a shitty reason to get married. It seems totally un-romantic.

But I loved seeing Abby and Travis go through the actual marriage.. the nerves, the joy, the romance, the wedding night! It was all so fun, exciting, and happy to read about.

I didn't like Walking Disaster, sadly, but A Beautiful Wedding brought me back to my love for Beautiful Disaster! It reminded me why I loved that book so much.

I don't normally read novellas, but this is one you MUST READ if you're a fan of the Beautiful series.

Hace un mes más o menos, Jamie ponía al fandom Disaster histérico por la noticia de una historia de Travis Maddox y su Pigeon. Y no era cualquier historia, era la historia de la boda, esa romántica locura que nos embobó a todos de amor. Sin embargo, a algunas de corazón frío como yo, hubo cositas que no cuadraron con esa boda en su momento, necesitaba respuestas. Y Jamie, tan genial ella, supo satisfacerlo con esta historia.

Travis sin duda es al único personaje masculino que le aguanto todo, absolutamente todo, incluso a veces tener vagina ser romántico en la forma que particularmente no me gusta mucho, pero es Travis :D So, no importa. Mientras lo mantenga en su cabeza y no me lo diga.. que no se lo diga en voz alta a Pigeon, digo, a ella sí, no a mí... porque es un personaje ficticio... sí... #KillMeNow

Como digo, este libro llenó esa parte que me faltada completar con las decisiones que llevaron a esta apresurada boda, las consecuencias del incendio y demás. Encontrar un personaje femenino que sea tan frío en su razonamiento es difícil, a pesar que con WD Pigeon me cayó mal, se redimió.

A Jamie se le fue un poco demasiado con el New Adult, cuando dice que tendremos todas nuestras dudas resueltas sobre la noche de bodas OH SÍ QUE LAS TENDREMOS. No es que me esté quejando... No es fuerte ni nada, solo fue un poco sorpresivo.

Sin duda es un libro para fans, a mí me quedó un mal sabor de boca con Walking Disaster, pero A Beautiful Weddding ayudó un montón a volver a enamorarme de Travis. Más, digo.

This was a really fun, quick read that filled in a lot of the details surrounding the aftermath of the fire and the wedding of Abby and Travis. It was sweet and funny and fans of the series will love this.
