This was a really fun read. Ev goes to Vegas to cut loose, and wakes up married to a rock star. What follows, is Ev and David spending time together to see if there really is a connection worth saving.

As they spend more and more time together, we get to witness David and Ev falling in love. There are ups, and there are downs, and sometimes, there are sacrifices. I really liked David, and his tenacity. The way he put it all out there, as he tried to win Ev's heart was very sweet. I love romances that give me a little bit of swoon, humor, hot schmexy times, and drama. I would say Lick had it all. Oh, and it had Malcolm, and he was fabulous.

Что я узнала, читая любовные романы про плохих мальчиков:

1. Красивые и богатые мальчики не любят красивых и богатых девочек.
2. Красивые и богатые мальчики любят сереньких и весьма посредственных девушек, которых считают очаровательными и непохожими на других (ха-ха-ха).
3. Девственницы Forever! Все дороги открыты для девственниц (ну или почти девственниц, один парень в прошлом не считается). Парни любят девственниц и только.
4. Спустя пару поцелуев и обжиманий, Bad Boy становится лапочкой и пусичкой (аки тряпкой).
5. Читатель несравненно познакомится с лучшим другом плохиша. Ибо ему суждено стать главным героем второй книги.
6. Бывшая всегда су*ка и мегера. Она просто обязана мешать главным героям быть вместе.
7. Главный герой один раз и по крупному косячит. В принципе это и есть переломный момент в отношениях героев.
8. Плохиши мега и мега ревнивы. Вы не можете смотреть на других парней, разговаривать с ними… или как в случае данной книги просто выйти в магазин, не взяв телефон.
9. Героиня не может носить сексуальные вещи. Она должна одеваться в стиле своей бабушки, чтобы герой не переживал и не ревновал.
10. Если парень музыкант, то он напишет героине песню.
11. У одного из героев просто обязана быть некая травма в прошлом: предательство или трагическое происшествие.
12. Родители – зло. Они всегда хотят для вас не того, чего хотите вы сами. И они никогда (или только в конце книги) смогут понять всю глубину и сложность чувств героев.
13. Ну и конечно же… Плохой мальчик на самом деле не такой… он просто еще не нашел правильную девушку.

КАК? Как эта книга набрала столько положительных рейтингов?

Очень сырая и примитивная история, о том как плохой парень рок-музыкант, влюбляется в неприметную и серую девчушку по имени Эви. Здесь нет глубокого сюжета, великолепных персонажей и чего-либо еще.

Я не увидела ни одной причины, по которой Дэвид мог полюбить Эви. Я хочу сказать, эй… но он не был пьян, когда они решили пожениться. Так что это нельзя списать на помутнение рассудка. Так что, как можно было взять в жены девушку, которую ты совершенно не знаешь? В наше-то время. И потом, спустя день или два, они уже клянутся друг другу в любви. Это же просто смешно! На третий день Дэвид уже посвящен ей песни. Да, да вы все правильно поняли. На третий день. Любовные песни. Возможно, для кого-то это романтично, но для меня – высосано из пальца. Автор пытается надавать на романтическую натуру каждой девушки, но эй мы не просто барышни без мозгов. Мы любим, когда в книгах есть логика и правдоподобность.

Я так же не люблю книги, где герои вначале трах*ются, а потом уже узнают друг друга и тд. И где вообще секс – решение всех проблем. А в этой книге все именно так. Мало того, что героиня влюбляется в героя чуть ли не в первый же день (день до свадьбы не считается, так как она его не помнит), а герой (как и во всех романах) обращает внимание на совершенно неинтересную и серую девушку, так тут, они еще и постоянно занимаются сексом: если они рады, несчастны, злы – причина не имеет смысла, главное секс.

Плюс я не переношу агрессивных героев. Неуравновешенных парней, которые при малейшем недовольстве или крупице ревности начинают драки. Меня даже в жизни бесят девушки, которые связывают свою судьбу с такими парнями.

Unforunately, this book had a very familiar theme that is popular nowadays. Rich, bad boy meets normal, every-day girl and they have issues, fall in love, have issues, get married, have issues, etc...However, this book starts out with a Vegas wedding and the girl has no recollection of how it happened. David and Evelyn were basic cardboard cutouts, with no real depth nor personality. While the writing style was pretty good, I had a hard time connecting with them as a couple, because I didn't know who they were. Their attraction and love didn't ring true to me, which made me not care about their issues and resolutions towards them. The side characters were no better, IMO and it's doubtful I will continue on with this series.

I saw a lot of buzz about this title, so I had to grab it from NetGalley. I'm so glad I did because I was introduced to a group of guys that were more than the typical rock band living the sex, drugs and rock and roll anthem. They had issues, they didn't deal with them and in the case of David a spur of the moment trip to Vegas brought him the only woman who wanted him for him.

On her twenty first birthday, Evelyn Thomas take a trip to Vegas hoping to cut loose. But a bottle of tequila and a sparse memories of the night before bring her face to face with a man she thinks looks familiar but can't really be sure. Thinking puking in front of some random guy is bad enough, but she discovers that while in her tequila haze she not only got a tattoo but she also married her handsome stranger. Now they both have to deal with the repercussion of their decision and decide if what they have it worth fighting for.

David Ferris is not your typical rock God guitarist. Sure he's extremely talented, hot as sin and tattooed, but he's got a gentle soul that is looking for someone to look past the fame, fortune and window dressings to see the real David. He found that with a very drunk Evelyn in Vegas. She didn't know who is was and didn't let him get too full of himself. So he was rightly upset when he realized the next morning she didn't remember a single thing from the night before. What David didn't realize is how hard it was going to be to leave Evelyn behind. She had gotten under his skin and no matter what he might say or do to push her away, he can't seem to let her go. She grounds him and makes him realize there is more to life than his band.

Evelyn was a girl stuck living a plan that had been developed by her parents. She was to graduate from college and become an architect, just like her dad...even if that prospect didn't make her happy. Her night in Vegas might have made her a huge disappointment to her parents, but it brought Evelyn the one person that knew her life plan sucked and stood by her in decided what she wanted to do to make herself happy. Evelyn also had a ton of insecurities when it came to her relationship with David and the lifestyle that he leads. When the one thing he swore he wouldn't do looked like it happened, Evelyn convinced herself she didn't fit into David's world. Evelyn had a hard time getting out of her own way, because she was so caught up in her own insecurities, but in the end she realized just what she meant to David and what he meant to her too.

A great read that lived up to the hype online. I can't wait to see what Diver is going to be next. I'm hoping it's Mal, because I know there's a story there.
