When I received a copy of Savannah Sacrifice in exchange for an honest review I did not realize that it was part of a series. It was not until I began delving into its pages that It became clear. Savannah Sacrifice is the fourth book in the Nymph series. This is my first experience with the author’s work as such I was not sure what to expect. Because I did not read the previous books in the series, there were moments in the story where I was lost. However, I did not allow this to deter from completing the story.
I thought the premise of the plot was unique. I have read various books about shifters, but never any about vulture and swan shifters. I enjoyed reading this installment and I am now compelled to read the previous books in the series. It had the right mix of romance, suspense, mystery and action that will have readers hooked and entertained.
Unfortunately for me, I was unable to connect with the characters. This is due to not having any backstory about them. It would have helped if they were to experience flashbacks.
Savannah Sacrifice depicts the extent to which one will go to protect the one they love. It’s a great story and lovers of shifter stories will enjoy this title, however, it would be best to read the previous books in the series before proceeding with Savannah Sacrifice.
