Roman is seventh book in the Cold Fury Hockey series. This book can be read as either part of the series or as a standalone. Roman is a little different from the other Cold Fury books as it is in Roman, Lexi and Brian’s point of views.

Roman is a bad boy defence man who plays by his own rules and does not care what anyone thinks. That is until he’s called into the Cold Fury management office and told he needs to straighten out or find a new team. Thankfully Roman’s interest is peaked by a ukulele playing barista who might just be able to help him change his ways.

Lexi has recently moved to Raleigh, after loosing her mother, to meet her new family, the Brannon’s. Brain and Lexi hit it off right away and Brian is willing to do anything to make his long lost daughter welcome into the family but Gray is skeptical about what is really going on. As Brain gets to know Lexi, he also gets to know Georgia, Lexi’s boss at the coffee shop.

I really enjoyed Roman and the continuation of the Cold Fury series as this in one of my favourite series by Sawyer Bennett.

Another awesome Cold Fury book! I like how Bennett took a little detour from the other books by have a third POV. It worked on so many levels for me.
1. I loved Brannon! I loved being in his head and felt his POV really added to this story.
2. This was more a family story than the standard romance these books usually have. Don't worry, we get a romance that is sexy and swoon worthy, but we also get to explore this dynamic between a family that just found each other.
3. Roman was a great alpha hero, who was quite complicated. I loved him, but then again, I love all the Cold Fury men.
4. I loved Lexi and Roman together. Their chemistry was off the charts, but they also had this playful side that never failed to make me smile.

I swear, I will never get tired of the Cold Fury men.

I enjoyed this one. Not as much as MAX, but it was still an enjoyable read for the most part. That said because of the two different romances taking place at the same time I was left feeling disconnected from both of them.

Roman and Lexi were sweet together, but I didn't feel any overwhelming passion between them. Everything just seemed to be resolved easily or swept under the rug. Hell, the sex wasn't even that hot. Brian and Georgia although cute together, in my opinion, should have been a separate novella because their little romance took away from Roman and Lexi and made their story seem underdeveloped.



And do not even get me started on GRAY. WTF...how is this immature tw@t faced bitch a manager of a Stanley Cup winning hockey team? I haven't read her and Ryker's book and now I never plan to. I spent the entirety of this one wishing a truck would make her roadkill.

SIDE NOTE: I love that the author took an actual event that happened to Jaromír Jágr and turned it into romance book fodder.
