Living on the streets is not easy for the stray kitten. There are many dangers -- roaring cars, dogs on chains, children with sticks. Life is hard, and hunger gnaws at the kitten. He learns to fend for himself and feeds off scraps of food thrown out after mealtimes. But soon the scraps become scarce -- and the poor stray becomes hungrier and hungrier and weaker and weaker. How will he survive on the cold and lonely streets?
