The village of Northrope presents a decorous and affluent face to the outside world, which passes its well manicured gardens. Solitary widower Alex Lambert, protective of his beloved deaf daughter Charlotte, prefers to keep himself to himself amongst the well-do-to population. That is until the charismatic and smooth Noel Murray moves into the neighbourhood and Charlotte goes missing while walking home from school. Are the two events linked?
