Again...it blew my mind.

I'm not sure I can adequately put into words how much I loved this book. My heart is still racing after finishing it. I'll come back to do a better review when my brain has slowed down some.

So, I've had some time to think some more about this book. For me of the twenty-something books of KA's that I've read, this may be #1 for me. The characters are rock solid and Tack is one of the most complicated and textured characters she's created.
At first, I was convinced he was an ass. An d clearly, so was Tyra and man, she gave him Hell for it and she was sooo good at it. I loved that she did not back down from him one bit. But you gotta understand that the big character development was not Tyra. Although, she grew in her own right, just not in the way that Tack did and the thing is, the change and growth is very subtle. He thinks he is such a hardass and that she will have to change to fit in his world when really, he does adapt to her and it is so sweet. I'd love to find a man that can take a strong woman and recognize her softer parts and appreciate them.

As always, the secondary characters are rich- I loved Tabby and Rush and I cannot wait for Shy and Tabby's story.

5 stars do not even satisfy this book for me.

I really think Tack might be my most disliked hero. His behavior is abhorrent. He acts first and expects total obedience. Often, what is is expecting of Tyra is her willingness to just "accept his life". When she pushes back, he gets aggressive. He explains himself at times but it doesn't change his actions. He expects Tyra to fit to his expectations and there is no thought to him changing his ways at all.
However, I liked the story (except him) so I am still giving it 3 stars. I'm just really disappointed that Tack is considered a "hero" of a story when he is really an asshole.

Motorcycle Man was great! I loved Ty-Ty and Tack! And Tack's kids. And the romance.

I can honestly say, that if I didn't love this story so much I would have cut my losses on the audio for Motorcycle Man. Unfortunately, the narrator does not do a male character well. I don't know about you but I always picture bikers as having deep and rumbly voices. Well, Tack sounded like a mafia hitman from the Bronx (guessing, don't kill me, I'm not great with accents) and his brothers didn't sound much better. I'd even say they sounded a bit whiney. It almost made me cry. I suffered through and gritted my teeth because the story is still worth listening to, until...

Lee Knightingale's voice was higher pitched than mine... NOOOOOO!!!

Hawk, Mitch and Brock's weren't great but they were better than poor Lee. Lee's a bad@ss in my head and for the narrator to do that to him, it's just WRONG!!

Anyways, I loved Motorcycle Man to read. This is the perfect story to showcase Kristen Ashley's amazing talent. She takes one of the ugliest scenes where you're sneering at the hero and hating all men for their douchewaffle ways, and makes you completely backflip. Oh, you still have your arms crossed and making squinty eyes for awhile, but then he comes good. Like really, really good. He's so good by the end you're swooning and turning to your hubby to ask them how they feel about motorcycles, tattoos and hog roasts.

Tyra and Tack's story is bumpy, with a mountain to cross before they even get settled. There are intense scenes of mayhem and madness. Fists are flying, guns are cocked and knives are sharpened. Tack is hot, sexy and sweet. He tells it like it is which can hurt like all buggery one minute, then makes you swoon the next. I'll take the swoony Tack any day. Tyra is feisty but she really gains confidence and attitude when she settles into her place as "old lady". They are the King and Queen of biker royalty, with the brothers and their women as loyal followers.

I loved the story but did not love the audio which is very disappointing. I had held off buying the audio because it was a little pricier than other KA audio's and now I wish I had saved my money. The sample certainly didn't prepare me enough.

I won't change my rating because I still love the story. If and that's a big IF I was to rate it on the audio alone, I hate to say it but it wouldn't have rated higher than 2 stars. Take my advice, if you want to hear Motorcycle Man, read it to yourself out loud.

My favorite of the Dream Man series! Tack also shares the title with Tate as the greatest KA hero ever! LOVE this book. One of my most re-read!

SIDE NOTE:I just re-read Motorcycle Man for the one billionth time, and this is actually the FIRST time I realized that the whole "BeBe" thing really didn't make any sense in regard to Tack's character. Like, I don't see him actually spending an entire night with her. Walking her to her car, and making out with her like she was some classy woman when she was basically the club mattress! It just doesn't really fit with his character in my opinion. Things that make you go Hmmm...*lol*

Motorcycle Man by Kristen Ashley is the last book in the Dream Man series and the bridge between this series and the Chaos series. I will admit I am a Kristen Ashley newbie and I was super excited about this one because I heard so many good things about her. Motorcycle Man follows the story of Tack Allen and Tyra Masters. This is one of the situations where you meet the guy somewhere else, get to the sexy times, only to find out he’s your boss.

The interactions between Tack and Tyra were great. I loved how she was sweet and sassy despite the fact Tack is a take no prisoner’s leader of Chaos. She’s not intimidated and it’s enlightening to watch. Tack is the ultimate alpha, but watching him with Tyra and Tabby, his daughter, showed a different side that made me fall a little in love with him. There was good combination of romance and action, and I will definitely be checking out the Chaos series.

This was a solid four star, despite enjoying the book for a couple of reasons. It was long. Over 500 pages long which made it an investment and there were several situations I felt could have been cut out without taking away from the core story. In addition, it was so descriptive I felt like we lost the forest for the trees. Regardless of these two aspects I would highly recommend this book and I look forward to reading more from her in the future!
