Honestly Bruce Mercer (the EOD boss) is such a little meddler - all busy getting his matchmaking on these days. He's worse than Eric Wilde from Wilde Ways. Or Dex from that series too. And poor Judith (Mercer's secretary) who always has to deal with agents barging right past her.

I didn't like this nearly as much as I have the rest of the series. It wasn't bad, I just didn't really care all that much about Gabrielle or Cooper. I mean Gabrielle for all she was smart at putting together the clues of the crime, she was still kind of dim at putting together how dangerous the EOD and exposing the EOD would be. Still, it was a decently written romantic suspense - it had lots of action and investigating and romance. It definitely makes more sense if you read these in order. 3 stars. Maybs 3.5.
