Love this book. The story is pretty entertaining and well written. I enjoy the fact that Annabelle and Zacharels love for each other wasn't quick, it wasn't love at first sight, it grew into love. I love the fact that Showalter wrote some of the characters from her Lords of the Underworld Series into this story. That was an awesome idea. Loved it. That was genius. I can't wait to read book 2.

I liked this story, but it had a hard time keeping my interest at times. If you likes LOTU, you'll like this story. You will also see some of them and their wives. I am very interested in seeing where the stories go from here. I want to know more about Koldo and the three friends.

I loved this book. I was intrigued by Zacharel when we first met him in the Lords of the Underworld series. He so honest, truthful and damn sexy. Annabelle has a tragic life but she is the perfect mate for him. I have to admit the bad guy was predictable, well at least for me, especially when we found out his name, but it didn't take away from the story at all. It completely flowed with the pace that Gena Showalter had set.

Excellent start to the spin-off series. Koldo's book is next and that is sure to be a wild ride. I can't wait for the books of Xerxes, Thane and Bjorn
