Seeking Her is a portion from Finding Her by Cora Carmack from the hero's POV. It was like reading Finding It all over again, except from his perspective...I didn't really need it since everything was explained in FI so reading this wasn't like getting something fresh, it was like re-reading a book you already read. Meh.

I love Cora Carmack, her books are fantastic and I devour her new ones every time they come out. Losing It, Faking It, Finding It, Keeping Her, I devoured them all in double quick time so when I read she was releasing a new novella called Seeking Her, and bringing us Hunt’s side of the story from Finding It, I was super stoked! I think Hunt is my favourite of all of Carmack’s heroes, and I couldn’t wait to read his side of the story!

If I’m correct, Hunt’s story actually starts prior to where we meet Kelsey in Finding It. We meet Kelsey in Hungary, but we actually meet Hunt at the airport at the beginning of Kelsey’s trip, letting us see more of an insight into where Kelsey was before Hungary (if I’m correct, anyway). From there, we basically just see how Hunt came to be Kelsey’s bodyguard/babysitter, and it was a very interesting little novella. I enjoyed getting to know Hunt and I enjoyed seeing how he viewed Kelsey and it also made it even more exciting when the two books crossed over – when scenes from Finding It, crossed with scenes from Seeking Her and I suddenly remembered bits I’d read from Finding It. A re-telling, but not an entire re-telling, if that makes sense.

Hunt and Kelsey are definitely Cormack’s most ambitious characters to date and I do enjoy their story. I was kinda disappointed Hunt’s story ended so suddenly. It sort of ends without feeling like an ending, which was a shame and sort of let it down a little bit, but I suppose that’s where you can cross over to Finding It to see what happens next, you could even read Seeking Her before Finding It if you wanted to and they’d follow each other quite beautifully. I really enjoyed reading Seeking Her, Hunt is such a fantastic character, so complex and emotional, I really did fall for him. I very much look forward to Cora’s next book series which is due out soon, she has become a must-read author for me, in the span of a year as I have devoured five of her novels/novellas. She just gets better with every book!
