This was perfect! This is the first time I have read anything from Keith R.A. DeCandido but I promise it will not be the last! This was the perfect introduction to the book series (which took me far longer than I care to admit to know about being a SPN fan) This had the perfect transition from the show to the novel (and it was SO helpful to know what episodes it was between so that I could have a correct timeline in my head) Wonderful Job!
about the book: Sam and dean are back in this new episode- wait, I mean book- and they're just the same demon-killing machines as usual. Edgar Allen Poe is going to come back from the dead. Dean is forced to listen to terrible music so he can try to get the girl. Sam never stops researching. Yeah, that's how it goes. my thoughts: This is a TV-show turned book series, something I've never heard of until now. I'm desperatly in love with the show and my friend thought it would be interesting to read this book. I was estactic, especially in the beginning when it said it is between two episodes. As much as I would love to say that what's a TV show should stay a Tv show- this one was fairly good. Did I feel as good as when I'm watching the show- waiting in anticipation for Dean to kill that demon already or for Sam to pout just a little more- no. I'm I going to read another from the Supernatural book series- probably not. I just didn't hit it off with this one. TV shows are much better on screen.
