Again like book one we have an awesome cover for this book. Great representation of the story (obviously.) Fantastic composition. Nice typography with an eye-catching title. The light blue on the B&W background really makes it POP. It's also similar to book one and two so good unity within the series.
Although I enjoyed this final book it turned out to be my least favorite of the trio. I enjoyed the plot, and the writing and pace continued to both be excellent. Unfortunately, the romance aspect was lacking. In fact, if I am honest, I felt zero connection between Cam and Thea in this one right until the very end which had the effect of making the ending seem incredibly rushed.
By the third book in a series (all featuring the same couple) their connection should feel solid to the reader. Of course, I expect it to be tested and things to happen, but behind that, there should be a solid base that has been forming over the course of all three books. That was missing in this one. This couple lost their spark. It kind of made me wish Cam would move on and find a better mate. I could not stand Thea which isn't a total surprise since I struggled with her through the previous two books. Yes, there are reasons she was behaving the way she was, but they didn't help me to feel differently towards her at all. All those feelings were exuberated by the fact that they were separated for two years. That was just WAY too long in my opinion, and I struggled to understand the necessity of having them apart for that length of time.
So yea, this one missed the mark a little for me but the series overall was really rather enjoyable, and I am looking forward to Zak and Amer's book!
