Homeschool Slayer to High School Sweetheart
Slay Me by Louise Cypress is another great read. I am so impressed with the whole little world that Ms. Cypress has created. In this book, we learn a lot more about vampires and what would happen if a vampire is a vegan as a human and even more now as a vampire. Out of these three books so far in the Puritan Coven Series, I have to say Slay Me is my favorite. Just like with Bite Me and Hunt Me we have two different points of views, the hero and heroine.
Kyle
The first main character that we meet in this book is Kyle. We learned about him at the end of the Hunt Me when Gwen was talking about him and he is a pretty great guy. Kyle is very passionate about being a vegan, protecting nature and animals rights. He’s very serious about these things and with how he feels about Cassie. What I like about Kyle is that he does care about the environment and want to protect it. What I don’ like about Kyle is that he didn’t trust Cassandra enough to confirm that she is doing everything that she can to help him with his situation.
Cassandra
The second main character in this book is Cassandra. We met Cassandra in the first book as the daughter of a slayer, a regular human, and the sister of Van. We don’t really get much interaction with Cassandra in Bite Me but what we see of her is that she is a very smart and athletic girl who can hold her own in a fight. Cassandra also has always wanted to go to a regular school much like her older brother Van. What I like about Cassandra is that she will tell you the truth even if the truth isn't what you want to hear. What I don’t like about Cassandra is that she has big time self-doubt and lacks the confidence to make friends at times.
Bad Guy
Just like with Bite Me and Hunt Me I can’t really reveal much about the bad guy in Slay Me. However, it actually wasn’t a total shocker. You'll just have to read Slay Me by Louise Cypress to find out who the bad guy is.
Five Stars
Slay Me by Louise Cypress is a wonderful book. Ms. Cypress did a great job with this series. I especially enjoyed following Kyle's progress as a Puritan vampire and how Cassandra copes in a regular high school. I am giving this book a five-star review as it was so so good and had me laughing throughout the whole thing.
Anyways until the next time enjoy this review brought to you by
