Knowing this was a Henkes book, I kept double thinking the illustrations, but this is actually illustrated by Laura Dronzek. Apparently, they also have another book from about 6-7 years ago called 'Birds', but I have not yet read that one. 'When Spring Comes' is a delightful and vibrant read. The illustrations are full of imagination and truly tell the story from melting snow to new birth and blossoms everywhere. This is definitely a cute read and one to bring out again and again when the chill seems to never end.

'When Spring Comes' will be a perfect addition to your Easter basket this year!
