I DNF'ed 51% of the way through. I was initially excited about this book because it sounded amazing, WW2 fictional history about the famous photo of the nurse and navy sailor kissing on VJ or VE day. But we get nothing much about that. I expected the book to be about them, but it's only about the nurse and how she had to take care of a baby one of her room mates left behind.
While I didn't mind that take on it initially, the book just dragged on and got really boring for me.
Shame because I thought I was going to like it a lot more.
