I am a fan of all things Celtic, so that was the initial draw to this book. An interesting take on the myths and legends of the Tuatha De Danann, and their place in our everyday world. Though I generally skip anything pertaining to "romance" this was light enough in that department, and woven truly well into the rest of the story, that it wasn't something that stood out.
The ending was interesting, and while tying up some loose ends, made it fairly clear that there is more to come. I wasn't originally aware that this book is the first in what is to be a series, but upon discovering that, I was pleasantly surprised - I look forward to reading more.
Through The Door would be a great summer beach read - not too fluffy, but not overly intense, with some fascinating twists on the familiar.
