the premise was interesting as were the characters, but the whole thing lacked oomph for me. i just didn’t feel like there was any chemistry. it also felt at times like wolff just threw every horrible thing she could at the couple to the point where it felt a bit gratuitous to me: dead parents, paralyzed brother, destroyed snowboarding career, cancer, etc. this just felt a lot like a first draft to me, where the plot wasn’t fully thought out and the characters lacked resonance. i’ll carry on with the series for now, but i’m not sure that tracy wolff is a writer for me.

Tansy spent the past 10 years fighting for her life and is trying to figure out who she really wants to be. Ash had his life turned upside down and is trying to tread water. Fate puts them together and what results is "Awwwww" inducing and totally endearing. I loved this pairing. I really bought into their stories and wanted everything to work out for them.
