We read this book for our book club and I liked it but it wasn't really my style. I thought it was a bit predictable. But I did like that it was all about redemption and that there was a new fresh look at the whole concept of the afterlife. I really liked the relationship between Meg and Lowrie and I liked that the characters were very believable and well written.

On the surface it seemed like I should have loved this. Sarcastic teen troublemaker who dies and has to bargain for her soul? Sounds great. But something just fell flat for me. I didn't really like Meg. I hated Belch. Maybe it was the idea of heaven/hell and dying that sparked dislike. I don't know. I just know that I didn't really like it and the only saving grace was that it wasn't that long. 2 stars.
