Initial thoughts: If you're looking for a YA book which unapologetically champions feminist rights, Moxie needs to be on your radar. I really felt for the characters, and appreciated the nuances Mathieu teased out through conversation and plot progression. Jokes girls are often told to take in their stride, comments they're urged to shrug off, unequal treatment they're tasked to take in their stride — all these and more and dealt with head-on in Moxie.
