Holy Shamoly, that was AWESOME!

I can't read this series fast enough, but I'm scared that I'll read it too fast and be left desperate for more. I am so happy to have started this series and ecstatic that there are a few still waiting for me to devour. The characters are some of the best I have been introduced to in the many years I've been reading romance. It's not too often that I come across a heroine I love as much as the hero. Together, Nevada and Connor are perfect and I think it's because they are equally capable, strong and determined. I sound like a fangirl because I AM... and proud of it.

Seriously, the storyline in White Hot was as captivating, interesting and action-packed as the first instalment. I was again, sucked in from the first word until the very last, and left extremely satisfied. It is so exciting to find a series this enthralling and I'm kicking myself for waiting so long to come back to Ilona Andrews' stories. I can easily see myself moving straight on from the Hidden Legacy series and devouring everything else this duo has written.

I absolutely LOVE Nevada and Connor, but I also love all of the supporting characters too. Nevada's family are great and I've loved getting to know them more. Mad Rogan's team are so loyal that at first, I thought it was a bit weird and maybe even cultish. With each team member that I got to know better, I came to understand their devotion to Connor, a little better. I don't know if there is one already, but I NEED Augustine's story. I want to see him. I want to know his thoughts and feelings. I want him to have someone who will always have his back. Augustine is so interesting.

This is definitely a slow burn romance but I can't fault it. While I normally get frustrated waiting for things to happen, I found the pace that Connor and Nevada take with their relationship, perfect for them. I needed to understand how Connor thinks and feels a bit better before I could trust that he wasn't just going to use Nevada. Now, I know their connection and feelings for each other is at an equal level. I never realised it until I typed that, but that's what I need in all of the romances I read. I have to believe that their devotion is mutual and that the feelings of love are equally returned. With that Epilogue, I was left completely satisfied.

If you have not read Ilona Andrews before, I highly recommend giving the Hidden Legacy series a try. It was so good that I couldn't help thinking that if they took out the sexy bits, I would recommend it to my kids to read. Honestly, I would recommend everyone to read it, even if you don't normally like para-fantasy. I think this would make an awesome movie or TV series.

Now, I'm moving onto #3 Wildfire. I should be reading some of the books I already have loaded on my device BUT I can't help myself. I'm addicted...and I like it.
