Initial thoughts: Vol. 2 was a fair bit more interesting than Vol. 1 in the Lumberjanes series. I felt much more invested in the characters. Perhaps because it took me while to get to know their personalities. In Vol. 1 I hardly knew who was who. Yes, I could differentiate them visually but not based on their identities. In Vol. 2 they had much greater individuality which made me feel much more invested. I did hope that Vol. 2 would take off over Vol. 1, and the verdict is, yes, it did. So yeah, it's worth sticking around for this sequel.
