Initial thoughts:If You're Out There is decidedly mystery and psychological thriller lite, but still a satisfying read. It made me wonder what was and wasn't real and what had actually happened. Yet at the core, it was about the bond and loss of friendship. I related to Zan's confusion and grief over Priya cutting all contact with her after moving away. At the same time, I enjoyed learning more about a new friend, Logan, who stepped into her life and was willing to help her make sense of the broken pieces.
