3.5 stars. So even though this is a prequel, from talking in book club (and as I was warned by Brandee!) it really should be read after the Rock Chick series. Some things just are unclear or underdeveloped because you don't know who these people are like a fan would. That said, I still fell in love with Daisy - I loved her sense of style and how she's strong and independent. I love that she has morals and they aren't stripped away simply because she's a stripper. I will definitely read the series and come back to read this one again.
Although I had the ability to borrow the ebook from a friend, I ending up purchasing the audio book because I didn't have the time to READ it. I think that was an excellent decision because the narration was great! The voice for Daisy reminded me of Dolly Parton, which is similar to how Daisy is described in the book overall. So she just came that much more alive. A+ narration!
