In CRASHING INTO LOVE...

Fiona Steele has a great career, strong friendships, and a loving family. To an outsider, her life appears happy and fulfilling. But the one thing that's missing is true love, and the only man Fiona wants is the one she can't have, sinfully handsome and seductively intense Jake Braden--the man whose heart she broke, which she has regretted ever since.

As an LA stuntman, Jake Braden's at the top of his game. He's hired for all the best movies, hooks up with the hottest women, and lives an unencumbered lifestyle where his needs come first--and where he doesn't have to examine his life too closely. Except when he visits his family in his close-knit hometown of Trusty, Colorado, where he spends his time avoiding Fiona--the only woman who knows who he really is.

When Fiona's best friend is hired to act in Jake's movie, Fiona jumps at the chance to try to win him back. There's no denying the white-hot attraction burning between them. With every encounter, Fiona hopes Jake can't resist falling back into the love they once shared. But her well-orchestrated rendezvous doesn't go over well with the brooding heartthrob. Living in the fast lane is perfect for a guy who's buried his emotions so damn deep he's not sure he can remember how to feel--and he's not sure he ever wants to.

Initially I was at a lost as to what to write for this review. This feeling was not based on my not liking this book as that was far from the case. It was based on my doubts that I would be able to write about another Melissa Foster book without repeating my thoughts from previous reviews. I recently began reading her books and I became hooked on her Love in Bloom and Seaside Secrets series. I Have not had the chance to read all the books in the Love in Bloom series, but those that I read I enjoyed immensely. It was while reading these books that I was introduced to Jake Braden and to say I was intrigued by him is an understatement. I could not wait for his story to be written. As such I was glad for the opportunity to be a part of this tour, which provided me with the chance to read and review Crashing into Love.

Crashing into Love tells the story of former high school sweethearts Jake Braden and Fiona Steele. These two were hopelessly in love with each other and had their lives planned out. However, circumstances led to Fiona ending the relationship ultimately breaking Jake’s heart.
Jake took the break-up hard. In a bid to exorcise her from his heart he began living life in the fast lane. He thrived on taking risks, both in his professional and personal life. Now, sixteen years later, Fiona has returned and is determined to win him back. He, however, is determined to avoid her at all cost. Will Fiona succeed in winning back Jake’s love? Will Jake be able to let go of past hurts and rekindle his love with Fiona?

I fell totally and completely with Jake, despite his whoring ways. It was a welcome change to see the vulnerable side of the male protagonist. It shows that men may appear like they are tough, but deep down they are just as susceptible to emotional pain as their female counterpart. Jake tried to get away from his feelings for Fiona but it was a futile effort. I loved Fiona’s determination. She is willing to fight for what she wants even if it meant facing rejection from the man she loves. I loved that both parties accepted that their love of sixteen years ago was not the same today. I love that Jake is willing to change his risky ways. This proved how much he has grown.

Crashing into Love is a beautiful story about second chances. I am a firm believer in giving second chances as such I was rooting for Jake and Fiona. I loved every moment spent reading and I believe this is a fitting end to what I consider to be a great series. If you have never read Melissa Foster’s work and you are looking for a new to sink your teeth in then the Love in Bloom would be a great start.
It should be noted that each book can be read as a stand-alone.
