by Beth Reekles

NOW A NETFLIX MOVIE STARRING JOEY KING AND JACOB ELORDI! Read the first book in the Kissing Booth series for some fun, fresh romance from Beth Reekles.

Meet Rochelle “Elle” Evans: pretty, popular—and never been kissed. Meet Noah Flynn: badass, volatile—and a total player.

When Elle decides to run a kissing booth at her school's Spring Carnival, she locks lips with Noah and her life is turned upside down. Her head says to keep away, but her heart wants to draw closer. This romance seems far from a fairy tale.

Is Elle headed for heartbreak or will she get her happily ever after?

Don’t miss the next two books in the series:
-The Kissing Booth #2: Going the Distance
-The Kissing Booth #3: One Last Time (on sale August 2021)

‘I didn’t pay to talk to you, you know,’ he told me, pushing his two dollars over the counter pointedly. ‘I paid to get a kiss.’

This is by far the most swoon-worthy book I have ever read. I keep smiling all the way through!
4 stars for not-so-happily ever after....

The story is fast-paced and I like the flow of it. There were a lot of characters mentioned but you won't notice because it really focuses on the main characters - Elle/Shelley/Rochelle, Lee, Noah/Flynn (Yup, a lot of nicknames too!)

I don’t think there’s a huge plot twist. It was just about hiding Noah and Elle’s relationship from Lee. And when he found out, he got mad for Elle lying to him. However, blood should really be thicker than water. I don’t quite understand why Lee would be so overdramatic and fight with Noah about his relationship with Elle. I would totally understand if Noah has a secret crush to Elle and that he was hurt because of it but would totally move on because boys just move on pretty quickly and they won’t hold grudges to anyone especially a brother.

The story ends with Noah having to leave for college, which is a real one because he needs to pursue his dreams and new opportunities, even if that means leaving Elle behind. But that doesn’t mean they’ll stop loving each other, they said they would try. And with that, the author left us hanging... asking for a sequel.

I did a book and movie review, check it out!
