I am enjoying this series a lot. I have to say, I don't like it quite as much as the Kate Daniels Series, and I think the reason for that is that this series follows a bit more of the "classic" patterns, whereas in my opinion the Kate Daniels series was very different from everything else I have ver read.

That being said, I love the characters created, I enjoy them separately and how they work together, the storyline is always interesting, the writing is gripping and I can't wait to find out what comes next.

The reason for the four stars instead of the five is that Nevada got on my nerves several times in this book. I got why she didn't want to be with Rogan in the last book, seeing that he abducted her and was kind of scary. But her whole speech of why she couldn't be with him from the last book (which was perfectly valid from her point of view at that time) got thrown out of the window, when we saw at the beginning of this book that Rogan isn't actually a psychopath, that he cares and has feelings. Of course, he has problems, he certainly isn't an easy man to deal with and I'm sure they will always have some issues. But he was great to Nevada so many times and she rejected him with no real reason several times. She doesn't seem to be able to trust him, or really trust the relationship they are building and it is kind of annoying, since Rogan never gave her any indication of a reason for that. At least wait for him to make a mistake first....

Well, that is pretty much my only complaint. While I love the main characters, I've got to say the best part about this series so far are the side characters. Her family, their interactions, Montgomery, Cornelius and his daughter are just so much fun and entertaining and fit perfectly into the story.

I am very much looking forward to see how the storyline with the main villain and the family's dangerous past come to play out in the next book.
