White Hot is book 2 in the Hidden Legacy series by Ilona Andrews. Magic, mystery, and romance (finally!) abound in this fast paced continuation of Nevada and Rogan's story!
So, we get deeper into both Nevada and 'Mad'/Connor which I really appreciated. Nevada's skills are developing and she is becoming more confident. We also get more back story on Mad that helps understand him and his actions. Their non-relationship is filled with so much sexual tension you think it will combust at any moment. But, like all people, there are plenty of real life obstacles that prevent them from being together. They still have to work together though!
Nevada's family is hilarious and brings such great entertainment to the story. Seriously, they are just awesome. I love books with great families and White Hot delivers.
What will keep you flipping pages long after your bedtime though is the action. What Andrews has created is a deep, rich plot with so many twists and dangers you can't find a good stopping point until the story is over.
So many people waited years after reading book 1, burn for me, to get White Hot. I was lucky and just read Burn for Me when I was offered a copy of White Hot. And, book 3, Wildfire, is releasing in August, so now is a perfect time to pick up this series! If you enjoy paranormal romance or urban fantasy romance, I think the Hidden Legacy series is exactly what you will want to read next!
