The education of children with learning difficulties - an estimated 20 per cent of children - is now a central concern for all schools following the statutory Code of Practice in England and Wales. This book is a guide to the implications of the Code of Practice, looking at how to develop a special needs policy, the role of different school staff, assessment, developing an individual education plan for children with reading and behavioural difficulties, and help with the difficult issue of differentiation.
