This is the love story of Rome, the elder Archer who has returned from war, slightly scarred, and Cora, the spunky piercer who experienced a devastating break-up, but is always there for her Marked men. The two don't seem an obvious pairing and I think that's why I love them together.
What I love:
Cora - she is just too much and so much all at the same time. She is all life and color and spunk and fun and honesty, and it all comes straight from the heart.
Rome - I swear, JCrownover gave him some of the most beautiful dialog, internal and external, of all the boys. You'll be swooning and fanning yourself.
The rest of the gang - I felt like we had a lot of participation from the rest of the gang and the family vibe has grow so strong over all the books. It's always amazing to be part of this community.
The drama - No, I swear, the conflict in the pinnacle of this story made me cry on the train during my commute. I was very, very verklempt.
The ending - I like how we got an update on just about all our past couples, and Nash's story was set up.
I really do love these books.
