Lucas goes to a party to help out a friend. Lucas seems to have no ability to say no to anyone. He struggles to stand up for himself either with Aidan or his best friend Ben. Lucas seems to go along with the flow.

Aidan Sinclair is a Dom at the local BDSM club. My biggest issue with Aidan is while he is a Dom he seems to forget how to be a real Dom. He pushes Lucas almost to the point past actual consent. He also seems to take issue with Lucas being straight and wants to change him. Aidan seems to have a good heart under it all. Toward the end of the story he really seems more of a Dom than the beginning.

The connection between Aidan and Lucas is intense. They are ironically pushed together more than they would have by Aidan’s stalker. The stalker seemed to want to push them apart. I think without the stalker the passion between Aidan and Lucas would have faded due to Aidan’s push not to become involved with anyone more than once. The sex scenes were scorching.

I found this book well written with a unique plot. The main characters and the secondary characters were fascinating. While the ending was a little predictable, the journey the book takes the reader is gripping with several unanticipated twists and turns. I had a hard time putting this book down. Overall, this was a very captivating book and I hope to see these characters again in the future.
