Tiffany Winters is so busy transferring her business from Los Angeles to New York, she doesn't have time for relationships. When she spots Dylan in a bar, she sees him as a quick hook-up because her clients have come to expect her to be available to them 24/7. Unfortunately, a one time only liaison isn't enough.
Both the protagonists have issues with abandonment giving them a common link. Their circumstances are very different but no less tragic and heartbreaking for them both to deal and come to terms with. For sexy, compassionate and caring Dylan he has to pull out all the stops to persuade Tiffany to find the time to spend with him, as she's torn between feelings for a man she didn't know existed and a commitment to her career. As I've come to expect from this writer, all conflicts and relationship hiccups are dealt within a thoughtful and mature manner. The protagonists are supported by a plethora of characters that have either featured in previous novels by the author or likely to have their own story soon. An ever present strong family and friends link give all books a familiar feel-good factor even though they are standalone novels.
Overall another exceptionally well-written novel with relatable and likeable protagonists. Unlike the many of the author's other novels, this series indulges in a spicy romance with an enticing narrative. This creates a well-balanced plot laced with hot and steamy sexy times keeping the pages turning.
