What is there to say about Gaby and Sacha and that's barely touching the other awesome supporting characters in this book. MZ has the skill to give us honest and real characters, she's capable of showing us the different stages of her characters as their friendship/relationship progresses in the book.
Gaby recently graduated from college with no idea what she wants to do next in her life. And moping around about a recent break-up from the ex-boyfriend, her twin brother, Eli, comes to the rescue and tells her to come along with his band on the Rhythm and Chord tour. Despite her hesitancy towards going, and for good reason, she decides to tag along and help sell their merchandise at each of their concerts.
And that's where the beautifully-handsome singer of The Cloud Collision comes in, Sacha Malykhin. I'm pretty sure it's love at first ass kicking! That's where their friendship began. The dialogue between the two will have you admiring their sweet relationship and literally laughing out loud. The words that come out of Gaby's mouth is downright funny and it's pretty apparent that she has been around dudes her entire life. What do you expect when a few of her best friends are dudes, it's a relief that she has Laila (her only girl bestie), to keep her sane from the downright crazy guys in her life.
I love Sacha, such a sweet and caring guy, just wanting to talk and hang out with Gaby as much as possible. Top-knotch guy if you ask me! Don't get me started with the many nicknames going on in this one; Bloodsport is a fave because who doesn't love a Jean-Claude van Damme movie?! But you also have Flabby, Sassy and lets not forget Eliza for her twin brother !
Now I've read some of the comments about people saying her books are all the same. And I ask to that, what's wrong with that? I don't think they're all the same, I've had very different feelings to all of her characters and the storylines. I love the slow burn between her characters because it's what also sets her apart from other books that are constant with angst and the quick love. And I state, there's nothing wrong with that because I love those books as well. But I like it when authors go against some of the normality in romance novels. It changes up things for me. MZ, I love your work and characters, so keep telling their story!
Definitely can't wait for the next one, whichever that maybe! And I was so happy to see the little references to your previous books in this one, I tend to highlight those moments as I read because they are some of my favorites! That's probably why I re-read your books so much because I miss them! This was a 4-STAR read because Kulti and Dex still have my heart :)
