Angel Catbird Volume 1 by Margaret Atwood

Angel Catbird Volume 1 (Angel Catbird, #1)

by Margaret Atwood

The Booker Prize-winning author of The Handmaid’s Tale writes her first graphic novel, a cat-centric all-ages New York Times bestselling adventure.

On a dark night, young genetic engineer Strig Feleedus is accidentally mutated by his own experiment and merges with the DNA of a cat and an owl. What follows is a humorous, action-driven, pulp-inspired superhero adventure-- with a lot of cat puns.

I borrowed this from the library not knowing what to really expect. I am ashamed to admit that this is only the second book by Margaret Atwood that I have read, which is something I should really rectify. The story was great and I really enjoyed the artwork. A nice feature was after the story where some of the concept artwork and ideas for the story were shown. My only complaint is that it came to an end too soon. It seemed like I was just getting into it and then it finished. However, Volume 2 is out soon and I'll have to check it out as well, as I want to know what happens next!
